A Student-Built Initiative from Venture Lab Redefines Exam Preparation Through Conversational Learning
In March 2021, at the height of the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Venture Lab students launched Ask Anjlee v1.0—an AI-powered chatbot designed to function as a personal study buddy for CBSE students in Grades 6 to 10.
Built within Venture Lab’s “Create to Learn” ecosystem, the solution emerged as a rapid response to the learning gaps faced by students during prolonged school closures. Instead of traditional apps, the team chose a highly accessible platform—Telegram—to ensure that students could begin learning instantly without the need for downloads or high-end devices.
Conversational Learning, Simplified
Ask Anjlee v1.0 introduced a chat-based interface where students could interact with an AI tutor in a natural, conversational format. The chatbot guided learners through key concepts, answered questions, and supported revision in a structured yet flexible manner.
Revision Mode: Learning When It Matters Most
A standout feature of v1.0 was its Revision Mode, designed specifically for exam preparation. Students received:
Daily Study Packets curated for focused revision
Concept summaries and key questions aligned with CBSE curriculum
Time-bound learning flows to simulate exam readiness
What made the content unique was its collaborative origin—curated by a combination of students and teachers, ensuring both relevance and relatability.
Strong Content Backbone from Day One
Even in its first version, Ask Anjlee brought significant academic depth to learners, offering:
10,000+ curated content across CBSE subjects
30,000+ practice questions for revision and mastery
This ensured that students had access not just to guidance, but to a rich pool of structured learning resources.
Built by Students, for Students
Ask Anjlee v1.0 was not just a tool, but a reflection of Venture Lab’s philosophy—where students identify real problems and build solutions with immediate impact. By leveraging AI and existing digital platforms, the team created a lightweight yet powerful learning system accessible to thousands.
This first version laid the foundation for a larger vision: using technology to democratize education and support learners beyond the constraints of physical classrooms.
