In June 2021, AI Journal (AIJ) marked its first anniversary, celebrating a year of innovation, creativity, and impactful storytelling driven by Gen Z contributors. Launched by SOIL |. School of Innovation & Leadership, the journal has evolved into a vibrant platform where artificial intelligence meets narrative thinking.

Storytelling as a Core Skill

At the heart of AIJ lies a simple yet powerful idea—storytelling is an art. It enables individuals to communicate ideas, share perspectives, and inspire action. From students to professionals, storytelling plays a critical role across domains—whether it is explaining a product, communicating change, or presenting a vision.

At SOIL, interns are trained to build fact-based narratives, transforming complex AI concepts into clear, engaging, and relatable stories for readers.

A Year of Diverse Ideas and Exploration

Over the past year, AIJ has built a strong repository of thought-provoking articles contributed by Gen Z storytellers. Topics have spanned across:

Voices from the Community

The journey of AIJ has been shaped by its contributors. Reflecting on his experience, Surya Pranav (Grade 10, Gen Z Contributor) shared how the platform enabled him to write and publish well-structured articles on AI and real-world topics, while also learning the foundations of entrepreneurship through venture-based learning.

The initiative also received encouragement from industry leaders, including J. A. Chowdary, who congratulated the AIJ team on successfully completing one year of impact.
