To Improve Collaboration between Education and Industry
The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) held a meeting at CII IGBC to improve collaboration between education and industry.
The discussion focused on updating curriculum as per industry needs, increasing internships and apprenticeships, exposing students to new technologies, and strengthening faculty training programs.
Mr. Srikanth Talluri, Founder of 6D.Works & 6D.Varsity, Mr. AVS Reddy, CEO Appidi Technologies, Mr. MV Reddy, VP Jio Platforms had discussed and proposed a “2+2 model”—two years of classroom learning followed by two years of industry experience. They had suggested encouraging polytechnic students to move into engineering after gaining work experience.
Industry leaders highlighted challenges such as internship quality, work culture adaptation, and high attrition among freshers.
The initiative aims to improve student employability and build a stronger placement ecosystem in Telangana.
