6D Tour - Wisconsin Institute for Discovery

Wisconsin, USA

7 Aug 2024

6D’s mission to foster global scientific collaboration

Mr. Srikanth Talluri, Founder Chair of 6D.Varsity, visited the prestigious Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

A cornerstone of the tour was a collaborative session with Dr. Jo Handelsman, Director of WID, and a globally recognized microbiologist. Dr. Handelsman is a former Associate Director for Science at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) under President Obama. She is a trailblazer in the fields of microbial diversity and metagenomics and is the founder of Tiny Earth — a global student-driven initiative to discover new antibiotics and tackle antimicrobial resistance.

This international collaboration amplifies 6D.Varsity’s vision of building a strong, research-ready scientific workforce in India and integrating them into global networks of purpose-driven scientific innovation.
